Hip Opener (Yoga Workshop) (Servus Place, St. Albert, AB)

This workshop focuses on opening the hips significantly. Many of us sit or stand for the greater part of the day and this results in tense and tight hips. We tend to hold a lot of mental and emotional stress in our hips which adds to this stiffness. This workshop will work on warming the muscles and joints with its practice as well as holding the poses to allow a true stretch to release that tightness. No yoga experience is required to attend this workshop.

Restorative Workshop (Servus Place, St. Albert, AB)

Restorative yoga has been clinically proven to relieve chronic pain, improve mood in mild to moderate depression, ease symptoms of anxiety, alleviate symptoms of illness and disease and create a clearer, more calm state of mind. In this workshop, you’ll use blankets, chairs, and other props to rest in a comfortable, yet passively stretched position. If you’re wanting to release deep tension and stress from your body and to slow down and deepen your breath, this workshop is made for you!

Restorative yoga is appropriate for all bodies and all ages (provided you can get down onto the floor).

Do you want to learn how to work in harmony with your mind? Do you feel scattered and unable to be calm and centred in your life? This workshop will provide you with various ways that you can start to explore meditation techniques. Come learn about the many health benefits that meditation has to offer.

Yoga and Journal Writing Workshop (Star of the North, St. Albert, AB)

Is the busyness of your life getting to be too much? Yoga and journal writing offer participants the opportunity to explore their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. In this three-hour workshop, you’ll be invited to experience yoga movements and guided journal writing. Use these two practices to bring awareness to your beliefs and learn how to slow down in a nurturing way. No yoga or journal writing experience is required to attend this workshop. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring a sticky yoga mat, journal, and small blanket.
